Kemmannugundi derives its name from three Kannada words - Kempu (red), mannu (soil) and gundi (pit) and means a place with red soil. Kemmannugundi is a hill station of Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka. It is 1434m above sea level. This was the summer retreat of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and as a mark of respect to the king, it is also known as Sri Krishnarajendra Hill Station. The station is ringed by the Baba Budan Giri Range, with cascades, mountain streams, and lush vegetation, Kemmangundi’s has ornamental gardens and mountains and valleys views.
Kalhatti Falls is located at Kallattipura in Chikmagalur district. The waterfall is only 10 kilometers away from Kemmangundi hill station.
Ride starting point & Time: Toll Gate in front of Parle G factory, Towards Nelemangala-Blore Pune highway NH4 by 6:00AM.
Day 1 (15-3-2014) : Leave from Bangalore and on way have breakfast reach the camp have lunch, explore Kemmannugundi back to the home stay. Overnight campfire and dinner.
Day 2 (16-3-2014): Visit Kalhatti falls back to home stay have breakfast leave for Bangalore.
Bangalore –> Tumkur -> Gubbi -> Arsikere -> Kadur -> Birur -> Lingadhahalli -> Kemmannugudi.

FARE: Rs.1900/- Per head.
This fare includes Overnight stay in homestay, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 1 dinner.
Riders should be ready to adjust in any kind of accommodation and food depending on the place.
This DOES NOT include mineral water, lunch on Day 2, fare & entry charges, toll fee and anything else not mentioned in includes.
